Working Group
The Engagement Working Group (EWG) promotes engagement with young health professionals and trainees interested in phlebology and provides educational support and advocacy for those new to the field.
The aims of the EWG are to:
To promote engagement of WUIP with young health professionals and trainees interested in phlebology.
To provide educational support and advocacy for health professionals new to phlebology.
The EWG activities include:
Support and mentor the health professionals interest in Phlebology in regions where the WUIP has limited activity.
Provide a communication channel for those new to phlebology and trainee to allow their educational and profesional needs to be know to the WUIP Executive Committee.
Engage young phlebologists and trainee through social media.
Building a diverse group
To ensure engagement of a diverse range of members, the following criteria apply:
At least five members younger than 40 years at the time of application.
Minimum of two female members.
At least one person from each WUIP geographical region.
Minimum of three trainees, residents or new phlebology graduates with less than three years in practice.
Minimum of one member from a developing nation.
Minimum of three members with proven skills in social media / web use.
The EWG is composed of:
The Chair of the Engagement Working Group.
Ex‑officio members – the WUIP Executive Director and WUIP President.
Ten other members.
