Dear UIP Member Societies,

Nominations are now OPEN for Executive positions in the International Union of Phlebology (UIP) for the term from 2025-2029.

The UIP welcomes nominations from its Member Societies for the following positions:

• President Elect
• General Secretary
• Treasurer
• Vice-Presidents (6 positions)
• Chair of Education
• Chair of Science
• Chair of Congresses and Events

Important notes:

1. Societies with overdue membership fees as of 15th April, 2025 will NOT able to nominate or vote for Executive Committee positions. 
2. Any nominations received from societies with overdue membership fees will not be accepted.  Candidates may only stand for one position on the Executive Committee and will not be able to be nominated for multiple roles.

Nomination Process:

• Nominations open on the 8th of April, 2025. and close on at 23:59 (UTC), 19th June, 2025. Late nominations WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
• Nominations MUST be submitted through the members portal of the UIP website. Submissions sent via email WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If you have misplaced or not received your login to the UIP website, please contact us at uip@uipmail.org.  
• Once your nomination has been received, the nominee will have 14 days to accept their nomination. Details on how to accept this nomination will be sent to the nominee. 
• The name and details of the nominee will be published on the UIP website within 7 days of the receipt of their acceptance. This may mean that the time from nomination before publication on the UIP website may be up to 3 weeks.
• Any nominations received by the UIP that have not been accepted yet, will be placed on the UIP website as "Nomination Received from - Society Name" until the nomination has been accepted. 

Elections

The election for all positions will be held during the UIP General Council Meetings to be held during the World Congress of the International Union of Phlebology from 8-11 October, 2025 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
